The Office of Personal and Professional Development (OPPD) empowers students and alumni to thrive in their academic, career, and life journeys by offering a holistic suite of services designed to foster growth, leadership, and lifelong success.

  • Career Services

The Office of Career Services in Massie Hall provides personalized career guidance, resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, job search strategies, and access to career fairs and employer networking events. Our career advisors help individuals explore career paths, connect with industry professionals, and secure meaningful employment opportunities.

  • Leadership Development

Through workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs offered through the Office of Student Engagement cultivates leadership skills that prepare students and alumni to lead with integrity and impact. Programs focus on self-awareness, team dynamics, strategic thinking, and ethical decision-making, with opportunities to engage in leadership roles across campus and the community.

  • Skills Development

Through workshops, elective courses, academic minors, students can obtain training in essential professional skills such as communication, project management, digital literacy, and emotional intelligence. These programs are designed to complement academic learning and prepare individuals for the evolving demands of the workplace.

  • Services to Alumni

All services provided by the Office of Career Services are available to AIɫɫ alumni.Ìý Career Services remains a lifelong resource for alumni, offering continued career support, networking opportunities, professional development events, and access to exclusive job postings. Alumni can also engage as mentors, speakers, and partners in experiential learning initiatives.

  • Experiential Learning

The Office or Personal and Professional Development can connect students with real-world experiences through internships, part-time employment, service learning, and co-op programs. These opportunities allow students to apply classroom knowledge in professional settings, build networks, and gain valuable insights into their chosen fields.

Part-time employment opportunities, both on-campus and off-campus, are posted on the Career Services platform, Handshake.Ìý
