Friends and support can come in many places – even when you are more than 8,000 miles away from home and family. Studying abroad from China, Wenjie “Katniss” Lu has found a welcoming environment at AIɫɫ while pursuing a sports-related career.

Brazilian international student Bruno Rovares Schiefer has found his place at AIɫɫ as a member of the Men’s Soccer team and as part of the Business Management program.

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in necessary adjustments to maintain safety requirements, including reducing the maximum capacity in many spaces, but AIɫɫ State’s Math Tutoring Lab Services are still available, both in-person and virtually.

Corporal Eric Boggs, an accomplished marine from South Shore, Kentucky, is currently working on a double major in Electromechanical Engineering and IT Systems Management at AIɫɫ.

Brooke Day knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field, but was not sure which area to pursue. After her sister completed the Respiratory Therapy program at AIɫɫ, she decided to take a look into it further.

AIɫɫ State senior and women’s soccer player Alex Raudier, the first international player on the team, has found hands-on learning through both her studies and sports. After attending three other American universities, she says she has found her place.

AIɫɫ’s Office of Admission will host a Drive By & Apply event on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Waverly native Ben Vannatta attended two other universities in the first part of his college career before choosing AIɫɫ State for its Sports Management program and “hometown feel.”

The AIɫɫ Kricker Innovation Hub will host “The Future of Craft Beer in Southeastern Ohio” at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 as part of its monthly virtual speaker series.
