AIɫɫ welcomed thirty-eight international students in various degree programs to campus for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Two fraternities at AIɫɫ are excited and preparing to make the most of rush week this fall. Tau Kappa Epsilon and Phi Mu Delta are making plans for an engaging way to meet those interested in joining their organization.

AIɫɫ’s Sport Management program will host the inaugural Sports Leadership Summit virtually on Saturday, Oct. 24 beginning at 10 a.m.

AIɫɫ will hold its annual Fall Bear Run in a virtual format beginning Oct. 17 and continuing through Oct. 31.

AIɫɫ’s Occupational Therapy program and the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7) present “Fall-Free Fridays” until December 4, 2020. September 21-25 is National Falls Prevention Awareness week, a national campaign to educate older adults, their caregivers, and health professionals about the dangers of falling and the steps to prevent falls.

AIɫɫ hosted its annual Weekend of Welcome at the beginning of the semester and welcomed over 350 students – both in-person and virtually.

Two sororities at AIɫɫ are not letting COVID stop their recruitment activities.

AIɫɫ has been ranked among the best colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for the second year in a row.

“AIɫɫ State’s nationally-ranked academic programs, particularly those in game design, plastics engineering technology, and health professions, set us — and our graduates — apart,” SSU President Jeff Bauer said. “So does our commitment to access and student success.”

Lavanya Vemsani, professor of history and religious studies at AIɫɫ, was awarded as the 2020 Outstanding Research Faculty by the SSU Senate.

The AIɫɫ Development Foundation has awarded $16,948.50 through the SSUDF Grants Program to on-campus programs for the fall semester.
